Hello God.
Hello Edward.
I want to talk with you today about my inability to “pull the trigger” on my product factory product. I still have not fully committed to pursuing underachievers anonymous as my product. I want to take some time today to explore with you the hesitation, and, hopefully, come to a final decision.
Sounds great. What’s in the way of your decision right now?
A few things. First, I’m feeling like I already have a bunch of things out in the world that are pretty darn good, and good be repackaged to be even better and serve the purpose I am wanting to focus on in the product factory – namely, attracting opt-in subscribers to my list. I’m concerned about adding yet another product to my offerings. I’m feeling the need to become more focused and refined, not more diffused. Second, I’m just not sure I want to be known as an expert in the field of underachievement.
Good. Let’s begin with the second concern. Why are you hesitant to become an expert in underachievement?
Hello God.
Hello Edward.
I want to talk with you today about my inability to “pull the trigger” on my product factory product. I still have not fully committed to pursuing underachievers anonymous as my product. I want to take some time today to explore with you the hesitation, and, hopefully, come to a final decision.

I think it’s because of the way I’ve framed the project in my mind. I’ve set myself up to be the posted child for underachievers anonymous. I see the blog being a way to lead by example, to have people watch as I step out of the shadows and into the light, as I take big bold steps deeper and more fully into the unlimited potential that I posses.
And what is wrong with that?
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I just have a hard time swallowing the idea of putting myself out in the world as an underachiever.
But isn’t your purpose to show people that there really is no such thing?
In a manner of speaking, yes. You can’t underachieve as long as you are focusing on YOUR goals and following YOUR path and pursuing YOUR definition of success.
Yes. Wonderful. Why would you even hesitate to share that with people?
I suppose I get caught up in the stigma around underachiever. Language is so powerful. And the cultural charge around words and ideas can present a huge barrier. Especially when you want to do something that challenges the prevailing thought forms.
Indeed. And isn’t that challenge a wonderful opportunity to continue your own evolutionary process? Is not that exactly the opportunity you are looking for?
Yes it is.
Wow, you’re bowling me over with your enthusiasm. I want to shift gears for a moment and encourage you to do neutral separations from your brother. That call you just had was pretty intense and I sense that your energy is still a bit entangled with his, which, as you pointed out, is entangled with all those people down there in Guatemala that have been affected by the hurricane. So, take a moment to breathe and find your center and then come back to this conversation.
Ok. Thanks.
…
I’m back.
Good. And what did you find?
Well, by the time I finished breathing and doing neutral separations, it was time for my coaching session with Linda. And that was a big help. She really helped me get clear about why I’m doing this, what my purpose is, and what I hope to get out of it. The session re-energized me and got me to where I could commit to the project.
Great.
Yes it is. It feels really great. And one of the things we talked about is how to keep me accountable for the follow-through, not just the creation of the product, but the continued focus on the growth and evolution of the product and the program.
Excellent. And what did you come up with?
Well we didn’t get to specifics. Although we did discuss the need to set up a project schedule with benchmarks, and due dates, as well as setting up a set of continuing intentions for the project – including financial intentions – that will help me stay on track and remain focused on the program for as long as needed.
Wonderful. So how can I help you now?
I’m not sure. I’m actually feeling excited to get started on the homework from week 3. I think that what I would ask for from you, is just the continued opportunity to check in with you when I get fuzzy or unclear.
You know that I am always here, and always available to help you gain clarity and reconnect with your excitement and sense of purpose.
Yes, I do know that. And I thank you for it.
And you are very welcome.
We’ll talk soon.
I look forward to it.
